Some Crofton residents tell me their green thumb is itching to do some gardening, and next weekend offers some great opportunities to exercise that thumb without spending time outside in the cold.

house finch (Carpodacus mexicanus )January 19 and 20 is Birding Weekend at nearby Homestead Gardens’ two locations, in Davidsonville and Severna Park.
