Theme 2011-2012

Sharing the Joy of Flowers

The Crofton Village Garden Club theme for 2011-2012 comes alive through our varied programs and projects, which promote the goals and objectives of our club and National Garden Clubs, Inc.  Besides our own members, many others will benefit, including:

  • Crofton residents and visitors
  • Students and staff at Crofton schools
  • Patrons and neighbors of the Crofton Library
  • Patients at the Crofton Care and Rehabilitation Center
  • 30 homeless men sheltered at a local church
  • Annapolis residents and visitors
  • Veterans at the Loch Raven VA Living and Rehabilitation Facility in Baltimore

    CVGC is partnering with other Crofton organizations to reduce and mitigate storm water damage to creeks, streams, rivers and the Chesapeake Bay - beginning right here in Crofton by diverting rain water run-off from Crawford Blvd. to two streetside rain gardens, rather than the storm drain on Rt. 3, where it now flows.

    Join CVGC members to weed, mulch and plant beds near the library entrance, April 21, 2012.
