The Agony and Ecstasy of Master Gardening
Michelle Corkadel, Master Gardener and expert in acquiring grants for rain gardens and other school gardening projects.
Michelle will explain the process for becoming a Master Gardener and the role of Master Gardeners in educating others about safe, effective and sustainable horticultural practices that build healthy gardens, landscapes and communities.

Herb Gardening – Hmmmm, Good!
Maria Price, Proprietor of Willow Oak Flowers and Herb Farm
Maria will demonstrate how herbs from our garden can delight all the senses and heal the spirit.

Honoring The Men and Women Who Serve
Anna Dixon, Club member and flower designer extraordinaire
Anna will conduct this workshop, helping members create 120 patriotic-themed flower arrangements for patients at the Loch Raven VA Community Living and Rehabilitation Center in Baltimore, MD.

Holiday Greens for the Community
Bernie Robertson, Founding CVGC member
Members will attach colorful red bows to live greens before hanging them at the Crofton Village Green and the Crofton main entrance. Other wreathes will be delivered to local schools and the Crofton Library.

Archiving Our Accomplishments

Margaret and Sunny will introduce the NGC Photo Archive of Accomplishments on Flickr.com and present a photo slideshow of recent CVGC projects, activities, tours, and floral designs.

Bernie will install the new officers and a members-only silent auction will be held to benefit club programs and projects.

Creating Your Individual Style in Landscaping
Hans Bleinberger, Certified Landscape Professional Horticulturalist with McHale Landscape Design, Inc.
Hans will suggest planting strategies for developing our personal landscaping style while addressing ecological and conservation issues.

Gene will conduct a tour of the Homestead Gardens state-of-the-art growing facility in Davidsonville.

Plant Swap and Potluck Lunch
Hosted by Faye Tolliver
Members will bring a dish to the lunch, which will be held at Faye Tolliver’s home.
Everyone who brings a plant from their home or garden will have an opportunity to take home one that was contributed by another member.
