Welcome

Sharing the Joy of Flowers with so many new and old friends is just the beginning for the new year of the Crofton Village Garden Club.  Our theme, programs, and projects will also promote the goals and objectives of National Garden Clubs, Inc., our parent organization.

The very successful flower show held last spring, At the Library, showed us all how creative and artistic we are and shared many species in our gardens that are indigenous to the Crofton area.  What a wonderful way to cap off a most successful year!

Our programs will vary widely in both topic and format, this year, and a different floral design exhibit will be featured each month.  Community beautification will continue to be a priority as well as garden therapy projects for veterans and a community health care facility.  We will also increase our presence at the Crofton Library and embark on a new project to protect the aquatic ecosystem.  Through contributions, we will support other organizations that share our principles.

Our house tour in December will be a most delightful way to show off our community even though our gardens are not blooming.  We await December 11th for “A Crofton Village Christmas.”

We have once again lost several friends and neighbors, but we have gained many new members and new friends who are now excited to move forward and learn with us.

This will be a busy, productive, and enjoyable year for Crofton Village Garden Club as we put into action our theme, Sharing the Joy of Flowers.
