Thirty-six Crofton Village Garden Club members and guests visited the historic home and gardens of Tudor Place in Georgetown last week. We had a wonderful time, beginning with a pleasant bus trip through our Nation’s Capitol en route to our destination.
Members and guests viewed the Tudor Place gardens…
We enjoyed a tour of the house, including the history of the Peter family which owned the property from 1805 to 1983. Unfortunately, no photos were allowed inside, but you can see some on the Tudor Place website.

After touring the garden and house, we adjourned to the adjoining property for tea.
This was a wonderful field trip to somewhere that we might never have visited, or even learned about. Many thanks to Joan Para Miller who planned this program.
