Naval Academy Garden Club Honored

The Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland recently honored the U.S. Naval Academy Garden Club for their beautification of the Cedar Park Trail surrounding the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on Rowe Boulevard.

The club designed and built three flower beds with trees, bulbs, perennials, annuals and ground cover for local residents to enjoy while they’re walking, jogging, and biking along the trail.

    CVGC is partnering with other Crofton organizations to reduce and mitigate storm water damage to creeks, streams, rivers and the Chesapeake Bay - beginning right here in Crofton by diverting rain water run-off from Crawford Blvd. to two streetside rain gardens, rather than the storm drain on Rt. 3, where it now flows.
